At a young age, Sandy Hackett was inspired by his father, legendary comedian, Buddy Hackett, to enter the world of comedy. Buddy was a powerful teacher and role model; an avid reader, studying diligently, and re-examining his comedy techniques. He taught his son by example. The younger Hackett soon learned that an evening with Buddy Hackett was an evening of comedy and entertainment at its best. [The senior Hackett passed away on June 30, 2003.] This was the foundation from which Hackett began his development, growth and versatility as a performer, producer, writer and entertainer.
"Son of a Gun!" Son of the late comedian Buddy Hackett, Sandy Hackettis hilarious in his warm portrayal of family friend, Joey Bishop, encompassing the charm and unique comedic style of a man he long admired in "Sandy Hackett's Rat Pack Show - Shadows in the Desert."
If laughter is the best medicine, Sandy Hackett is a heart surgeon. At 15, he performed before 3,000 people at New York's Westbury Music Fair. Sandy attended the University of Nevada at Las Vegas where he earned a degree in Hotel Management, then promptly launched himself into the world of stand-up comedy.
