Jan Mulder ~
The Piano Dreamer
Award-winning pianist and composer, Jan Mulder, was born in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, where he studied piano, organ, and composition in conservatories there.
Jan has become a prolific composer, writing music for all his CD’s and solo concerts. His 10 solo CD’s, recorded with European orchestras like the London Symphony Orchestra and the Moscow Symphony Orchestra, have been selling like hotcakes all over the world! Jan now lives in the U.S. and continues to record and perform with his orchestra here. He has also been seen on PBS Television.
Jan recently created a non-profit foundation for the purpose of generating funds through concerts to provide scholarship assistance to “uniquely talented musical young people who otherwise would not be able to follow their dreams to become successful musicians.”
When listening to the piano of Jan Mulder, one is instantly aware of the incredible virtuosity of the man – the fullness of tone, the flawless touch, the synchronicity and easy flow of the notes; the rich, pure emotion coming from his piano is quite remarkable.
The genius of the man is that when one listens to his relaxing, romantic compositions, he makes it all seem so easy! One doesn’t sense the hard work, diligence, and drive behind the peaceful feeling that he imparts - that sense of serenity that is the very soul of Jan's music is magic.
