DANCE of DESIRE had its first performance on May 8, 2003 at The Ambassador Theatre, Dublin. It has since performed across Europe, Asia and in the USA.

ERIC CUNNINGHAM Producer, Director & Composer
As a musician, Irishman Eric Cunningham, has performed in a plethora of concert halls across six continents from Beijing to Broadway while he has also played support to the Rolling Stones and performed for 3 U.S. Presidents among other dignitaries. He has performed as a soloist with the Dublin Philharmonic Orchestra, the National Symphony Orchestra (Ireland), the RTE Irish Concert Orchestra, the Irish Chamber Orchestra, the Brooklyn Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Australian Chamber Orchestra and the Dubai Philharmonic Orchestra.
As an event producer-promoter, Eric has promoted many events in his home soil including international rock star Bryan Adams at Pearse Stadium to 18,000 people. Cunningham is also the Co-Founder and former Festival Director of The World Fleadh (Fleadh being the Gaelic word for feast) which is now Ireland’s biggest Irish & Celtic music festival which takes place in Ireland every August. He sold the rights to the event in 2010. He also established the ‘Dubai Irish Festival’ and acted as Festival Director. In 2009 Eric founded & staged ‘Ireland’s Music Awards’ a national awards ceremony which honours and features the best performers within the Irish Traditional, Folk and Celtic music business while Eric also created the ‘Irish Country Music Awards’, which is affiliated to the CMA awards and honours the best performers within the Irish country music business. The ICMA 2009 featured special guests Randy Travis & Hal Ketchum amongst a host of Irish country stars.
Eric has been critically acclaimed as a composer, producer and director and his talents can be seen in the show Dance of Desire which he owns and which has performed across the world extensively. Dance of Desire which was described by the Irish Times as ‘Terrific’ has toured the world extensively since its premiere.
Eric is the Managing Director of Maverick Music Limited (trading as Celtic Entertainments) the company behind the productions. He is a member of the ‘Ireland Fund Global Young Leaders’ and is a member of the ‘Ireland U.S. Council’. He was nominated for a Mayoral Award from Galway City Council (2005), awarded the National Outstanding Young Person of the Year Award by the Chamber of Commerce Ireland (2005) and also presented with a Rehab People of the Year Award (2006).
